Happy 4th Birthday Joseph

Today is 14th April. Exactly 4 years ago, Joe popped into this world. Actually he didn't pop. I told him the the doctor had to cut open my tummy to take him out.

We got 4 double choc cupcakes from Safeway last night, and he stuck 4 candles into them. Four years old and he has four celebrations. He said "first one was at Uncle Jackson's house. Second one was at home. Third one was at school and fourth one is in Melbourne".

After breakfast, we took him to the mall....

He picked out 2 toys. One from Yee Yee and Yee Teow. And another from Papa and Mama. A very happy boy indeed.

After getting his toy, we walked around a bit.... Joy-Anne found Thomas at a toy shop and said "too too...."

In the evening, we checked out another playground nearby at Wilsons Road Reserve.

We had fun on the swing....

And nana had fun rolling on the grass....

Joy always kicks up a fuss and refuses to get into the stroller when it's time to go home. It's amazing.... When we're at home and going out, she happily gets into the stroller. But when we're out and going home, she refuses to.

We had a yummy pasta dinner at home, followed by yummy dessert - warm cinnamon donut with ice-cream, and also yummy strawberry yoghurt.

Joe says he had a very good day.

He gave me a big hug and said, "Thank you very much mama for buying 'Skip' (the toy) for me". It really melts my heart.

I'm so thankful to see how he's grown. He has a maturity and intelligence beyond his years. Of course this also means he's sometimes naughty. He's kinda like me. Once we set our mind on a certain something, we want to get it done our way. So I've learnt that I have to prepare him mentally for whatever we want him to do. If it's dinner time, I've to tell him that he can play for 2 more minutes and then he has to go wash his hands. If I tell him "Go wash your hands now", he gets really upset.
