Family Holiday in Singapore Part 1 - family, fun and peking duck

Holidays are good. Holidays with family are even better. Holidays with family and good food are the best!

Dinner on the first night was BBQ (electric kind) at home. We had prime wagyu beef, lamb chops, chicken chops, black pork, grilled fresh scallops with hash browns, garlic bread and salad. Beats TGIFridays or Tony Roma's anytime!

Next morning, we checked out Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park. A stone's throw away from where Daalin's brother lives, it has been recently rehabilitated. What used to be a huge drain is now a natural river teeming with life. The park is one of the bigger ones in Singapore and really really nice.

Our second night in Singapore, we had dinner at Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck Restaurant.
Located inside Paragon Mall on Orchard Road, it appeared very popular with the expat crowd. Of course, we had the signature Peking Duck.

I'm not sure how Peking Duck is supposed to taste like so I can't compare. But everything I ate here tasted very good.

Dessert was on the house because of some connections. I had the durian pudding. It was heavenly.

After dinner, we took a walk down Orchard Road.

It was not a good idea to walk down Orchard Road with 8 kids. They would have preferred to stay home with the Wii or have a pillow fight.
So we didn't walk very far before we went home to get an early night before the next day's adventure...
